Nendaz is a typical Walliser mountain village situated on a sun terrace above the Rhone Valley, close to Sion, and offers a phenomenal view over the valley and the Bernese Alps. A modern holiday resort has been created around the small centre of the old Walliser village with its traditional houses, barns and storehouses. Nendaz is in the heart of the 4-Vállees, and with 92 ski lifts and more than 400 kms of pistes, ski enthusiasts will want for nothing. Verbier and Veysonnaz can be reached quickly from the village via the slopes.

There are lots of restaurants and bars in the atmospheric centre of this friendly village. Do you want to relax after a day’s skiing or snowboarding? Then you can make use of the covered swimming pool or go shopping in the convivial centre of Nendaz. In the evenings, the centre of Nendaz comes to life. You can dine in one of the many excellent restaurants or have a drink in Nendaz’s lively bars and clubs.

Nendaz has a hugely varied children’s programme and is distinguished by its ‘Families welcome’ quality mark. Kindergarten, toy rental, craft programmes, organized pushchair strolls, playgrounds – everything is laid on for the smallest guests.

Nendaz is in the vast 4-Vallées ski area, which also includes the fashionable ski village of Verbier. There’s no shortage of pistes here: with well over 400 kms, you will have a wonderful time. In total, this area has 135 kms of blue, 170 kms of red and 105 kms of black runs. There are 92 ski lifts. The pistes are in pristine condition from December to April and in the summer you can visit the glacier.

There are beautiful slopes for skiers of all abilities. Nendaz is a paradise for freeriders with countless possibilities to go off-piste. The glacier guarantees snow in 4-Vallées and so you can also enjoy a visit at the beginning or the end of the season. From Nendaz you can reach the summit of Tracouet (2,200 m). From here you can continue on to the higher ski areas where the routes go in different directions. For expert and advanced skiers, Verbier has the best slopes, especially the pistes from Attelas and Ruinettes. The ‘Mont Gele’ Glacier has several black runs that are enough to make even the ski-pros quake in their snow boots.

It’s a great place to stay in the summer too. The days are warm and sunny and you can go on fun outings in the area. For nature lovers and hikers, the Rhône Valley, with its beautiful side valleys is a real paradise.

Sion, the capital of the Valais canton, is nearby in the warm Rhone Valley. You can see it, surrounded by vineyards, from far away thanks to the two castles built on the rocks, high above the town. The historic town centre, with plenty of culture, restaurants and shops is lovely to visit. The renowned 18-hole Golf Club de Sion is also close by.

Accessibility


The closest airport is Geneva, with daily flights from many international airports. In the winter, charter flights land at Sion airport. Both Geneva and Sion are easily accessible by train.

Geneva is 145 kms away. If you are travelling by car, leave the motorway at Sion and the village is 15 kilometres further.
